This recipe is one of my go-to lunch recipes. If I am tired of eating chicken all the time, it is great to have a delicious beef steak recipe to go-to. You get the same great taste of Hawaiian teriyaki chicken recipe but steak instead of chicken. This steak teriyaki recipe is easy to make and uses very simple ingredients. Only four main ingredients. No need to go to the store to buy a bunch of different ingredients.

This teriyaki beef recipe can easily be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. I normally meal prep this recipe on Sunday night and have it throughout the week for lunch or sometimes dinner. If you are concerned about freshness, you could freeze this recipe in the freezer.

If you like teriyaki sauce you can add more once you are ready to eat or when you add all the ingredients into the meal prep containers. I normally add a little bit of teriyaki sauce once I am ready to eat.

  1. In a large bowl add the 16 oz lean sirloin beef and 3 tbsp of teriyaki sauce. Let it marinate for 30 minutes
  2. In the meantime, cook and steam the cabbage for 10 minutes.
  3. Next, add 3/4 cups of white rice and 1 1/2 cup of water in a bowl. Bring to a boil and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  4. Cook steak on either a grill, griddle, or cast iron pan for 10 minutes of each side at 400F.
  5. Lastly, take out 4 meal prep containers and evenly distribute the beef, rice, and cabbage.
